Broadridge Financial Solutions has launched DLX, a tokenisation platform intended to let financial institutions manage issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody and distribution of tokenised and conventional securities through a single operating layer. DLX launches with the ability to connect to the DTCC Tokenization Service via Canton, with further network connections to be announced.

The platform builds on Broadridge's existing Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) business, which the company says processes more than $351bn a day in repo activity — but that figure describes DLR specifically, not DLX, which hasn't yet disclosed named clients or its own transaction volumes. DLX is designed to support bonds, equities, funds, private markets and money-market instruments within one framework.
