Deutsche Börse Group has launched Deutsche Börse Digital Exchange, a regulated crypto spot platform designed for institutional clients.

DBDX offers a regulated ecosystem for trading, settlement, and custody of crypto assets, with existing market connectivity. Trading operates on a Request for Quote model followed by multilateral trading, with Deutsche Börse running the venue and Crypto Finance GmbH providing settlement and custody services.

The platform is designed to meet institutional-grade standards, enhancing market integrity and security. It builds on Deutsche Börse's Horizon 2026 strategy objective to establish a digital asset platform, and follows the granting of licences to Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH by German regulator BaFin for regulated digital asset trading, settlement, and custody.

Carlo Kölzer, head of FX and Digital Assets at Deutsche Börse, said the solution aims to provide trusted market operations for crypto assets, ensuring transparency, security, and regulatory compliance.
