J.P. Morgan's Kinexys unit has extended JPM Coin (ticker JPMD), its U.S. dollar deposit token, from Base to the Ethereum mainnet. Approved institutional clients now have a second public blockchain for round-the-clock dollar transfers, securities settlement and collateral payments.
As reported by Bloomberg and relayed by crypto.news, access remains limited to vetted institutional counterparties that pass KYC and anti-money-laundering checks. The token is not offered to retail customers. JPM Coin represents commercial bank deposits and first went live on Base in November 2025.
JPMorgan has not disclosed Ethereum-specific volume, balances or client numbers. The $4 trillion cumulative and roughly $7 billion daily figures cited in coverage cover all Kinexys products, not JPMD, and are company-reported.
