NYSE and Securitize have signed a memorandum of understanding designating Securitize as the first eligible digital transfer agent on NYSE's upcoming Digital Trading Platform — adding operational specificity to the exchange's tokenised securities infrastructure plans announced in January 2026.
The transfer agent designation is a meaningful infrastructure detail. In conventional securities markets, transfer agents maintain official ownership records and manage shareholder services. Securitize — already an SEC-registered broker-dealer, digital transfer agent, fund administrator, and operator of an SEC-regulated Alternative Trading System — brings existing regulatory authorisation to the NYSE relationship rather than requiring a new regulatory build.
The MoU does not constitute a live trading venue and the NYSE Digital Trading Platform remains subject to regulatory approvals. But naming Securitize as the first eligible digital transfer agent moves the initiative from a conceptual announcement to a defined operational architecture with identified infrastructure partners.
Securitize's existing relationships with BlackRock, Invesco, Hamilton Lane, Apollo, and KKR give the NYSE partnership immediate institutional distribution context — the tokenised fund products already managed or distributed through Securitize's infrastructure could in principle be listed and traded on NYSE's Digital Trading Platform once approvals are obtained.
