Hong Kong-based RD Technologies has raised $7.8 million in a Series A1 round from investors including HongShan, Hivemind, Aptos Labs, the Solana Foundation, and Hash Global, to build compliant Web2/Web3 financial infrastructure in Hong Kong.
The company's subsidiary had entered the HKMA's stablecoin issuer sandbox in July to test the operating plan for the HKDR Hong Kong dollar stablecoin. Proceeds will support that payment and financial infrastructure push, as well as broader cross-border financial services development.
The raise reflects growing institutional and investor interest in regulated stablecoin infrastructure in Asia, with Hong Kong positioning itself as a hub for compliant digital asset development.
