Securitize (NYSE: SECZ) launched Securitize Stocks on Oct. 8, offering 12 U.S. equities onchain as security entitlements to eligible investors in the United States, the European Union and other permitted jurisdictions.
According to the company's press release, each token is backed 1:1 by an underlying share and carries dividends and, where applicable, voting rights. The stocks include Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla. Trading runs on Solana, settles in USDC and starts in extended hours, with 24/7 availability planned.
Securitize said the product is expected to list on a 24/7 NYSE digital venue and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, both subject to regulatory approval. The underlying issuers have not sponsored the product, and holders are not registered shareholders unless they convert tokens into shares. Securitize did not disclose trading volumes or token supply.
