Western Union said Wednesday it selected Noah to build a global platform for moving money between fiat currencies using stablecoin infrastructure.

Noah supplies the treasury and licensing that let Western Union pre-fund, convert and pay out its USDPT stablecoin, which is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank on Solana, and it handles local regulatory compliance, according to the companies' release. Noah's network sits behind Western Union's Receiver Redirect service. Western Union announced a Stablecard in August that lets users hold USDPT.

No launch date was given. Western Union says it moves money in more than 60 currencies across over 200 countries and territories; those company-stated figures describe its overall network, not stablecoin volume.
